The NZFAP Plus Standard is reviewed annually to ensure our members continue to meet changing market demands.  As a result, a new version five of the NZFAP Plus Standard came into effect from 1 October 2024 to align with the start of the new season.   

You should have received a copy of the latest Standard. If you didn't, please request one here.

What's changed? 

It’s easy to find the requirements that are new or have been amended – just look for the words '(New)’ or ‘(Amended)’ at the end of each requirement.

Key areas where changes have been made include:

• Health and Safety 

• Management of crops and winter grazing 

• Nutrient management and soil health 

• Greenhouse gases and climate change (annual record of your numbers) 

• Biosecurity. 

Please familiarise yourself with the standards, in particular those that require annual monitoring and recording.
